Step 1: Polymarket CLOB API Credentials

Get your API credentials from polymarket.com: Profile → Settings → API Keys.
These are used for order placement and market data access via HMAC authentication.

Step 2: Wallet Signing Key

Your private key is needed to sign EIP-712 orders (required by the CLOB) and to send on-chain transactions (approvals, redemptions).
Security: The key is held in memory only — never written to disk. You'll need to re-enter it if the server restarts.

Step 3: Fund Your Wallet

Your wallet needs USDC.e (for trading) and POL/MATIC (for gas on approvals & redemptions) on Polygon.
Bridge funds to your wallet address on the Polygon network.

Step 4: Token Approvals (One-Time)

Before trading, 3 Polymarket contracts need permission to move your USDC and CTF tokens. This is 6 on-chain transactions (costs ~0.01 POL total). Only needed once per wallet.

Everything is set up! Review the checklist below, then enable real trading in the Risk Management tab.
